Shalimar Fashion

You can find Shalimar Fashion over in the F. H. Industrial Estate. We are on the 1st floor, right next to the Simplex Mill. Being in an industrial estate means there is always a lot of activity going on. There are trucks loading and unloading, and the sound of machines from the other units nearby. To get to us, you have to go up the stairs, which are a bit narrow and steep. The building is older, and you can see the history in the walls and the floors. It’s not a polished environment, but it’s where the real work happens. We have a fair amount of space on our floor, though it fills up fast when we have a lot of fabric coming in. The windows are high up and let in some light, but we mostly rely on the overhead tubes. It gets quite warm in the afternoons, so we keep the fans going at full speed. Being next to Simplex Mill is a good landmark for people trying to find us for the first time. We’ve been here for years, and the routine hasn't changed much. We start early and stay until the work is finished. It’s a bit of a gritty area, but it suits us just fine. We don't need a fancy office to do what we do. We just need the space and our equipment, and we have both here at F. H. Industrial Estate. That’s how we like it.
