Shakti Aliminium Centre

Down here at Shop No 6 in Borivali East, we deal with a lot of aluminum. It’s on the Ground Floor of the Shant building, right in the Sunangi Layout. The air usually smells a bit like metal and there is always some noise from the cutting machine. We handle a lot of frames and sections for windows and doors. It is a practical business. People come in with measurements scribbled on pieces of paper, and we try to make sense of them. The shop is not huge, but we make it work by stacking things high against the walls. We see a lot of local builders and people just trying to fix up their own homes around Kammana Hally. Sometimes the floor gets covered in silver shavings and we have to sweep up three or four times a day. It is mostly just hard work and getting the dimensions right so nothing rattles when it’s installed. We have been in this spot for some time, and it’s a good neighborhood to be in. The traffic outside can get loud, but once you are inside the shop, you just focus on the job at hand. We don't use big fancy machines, just the ones that have worked for years. If someone needs a specific hinge or a track, they know they can just drop by and ask. We prefer talking face to face rather than over the phone.
