Shahil Enterprises

Shahil Enterprises is located at Shop No.23 on R.G Marg. We are right on the Main Road in Dharavi, so as you can imagine, it is incredibly busy all the time. The shop is very close to the Government School, which means we hear the kids playing and the bells ringing every day. It is a lively part of the city to be in. Our shop is small, like most places in Dharavi, but we have everything packed in tight. There is barely enough room for two people to walk past each other sometimes, but we make it work. We spend our days dealing with people coming in from the main road. The noise from the traffic on R.G Marg is constant, but you stop noticing it after a week or two. It is a real, gritty kind of place where we work hard. We don't have fancy air conditioning or bright lights. Just a couple of fans and the light from the street. Being near the school makes us a bit of a landmark for people looking for Shop No.23. We keep our supplies stacked high to make use of the vertical space. It’s a humble setup, but it’s ours. We have been here on the main road for years, seeing the area change around us. It is just a normal day of work for us. We stay until the job is done.
