Mina Plastic

We are tucked away in Shop No.18 on Sarang Street. It’s right near Khokha Bazar in Masjid Bunder. If you’ve ever been to this part of Mumbai, you know how crowded it gets. It’s a maze of narrow lanes and people carrying loads. We’ve been here at Mina Plastic for years. It’s a tight space, like most shops around here. We have plastic goods stacked all the way to the ceiling. You have to be careful not to knock anything over when you walk in. It’s loud and dusty, but it’s home for us. We deal with a lot of wholesalers and locals too. Every morning starts with a lot of shouting and tea. That’s just the energy of Masjid Bunder. We don't have a fancy logo or a polished storefront. It’s just a sign above the door. People come to us because they know we’ve been here forever. We know the other shopkeepers on Sarang Street well. We borrow change from each other. It’s a real community. We don't do any online selling or anything like that. If you want something, you come down to the bazar and find us. It’s the old way of doing things, and it still works. Sometimes the rain makes things difficult, but we just cover the stock and keep going. It’s a busy life here, but we wouldn’t want to be anywhere else. We are just part of the bazar.
