My Fund Bucket

We have a small office on the first floor of Harmony Mall, which is right on the Link Road in Goregaon West. Being in a mall is a bit different because there are always people walking past the windows and the sound of music from the shops below. We spend most of our time on the phones or looking at computer screens. It’s a lot of numbers and paperwork, trying to help people figure out their finances. The office at number 12 isn't very big, so we have to keep things pretty tidy, though there are always stacks of forms on the desks. We go down to the food court for lunch, which is convenient, but the mall can get very crowded on the weekends. The traffic on Link Road is always a mess, so we usually hear the honking from outside even when the windows are shut. It’s a regular office job, really. We have a few chairs for people to sit when they come in to talk to us about their funds or whatever else they need. The lighting is that bright office kind, and we have a small kettle for making tea during the afternoon slump. It’s just a group of us working through the day, trying to stay on top of all the files and emails that come in. It’s a busy spot but we’ve made it our own over the years. We just keep our heads down and do the work.
