We are tucked away in Room No-26 over at Ambedkar Society. If you know the Park Site area in Vikhroli West, you know it gets pretty crowded around here. It’s mostly just us sitting around a couple of desks covered in blueprints and old site photos. The walls could use a new coat of paint, to be honest. We spend most of our mornings on the phone trying to track down where the cement truck went or why the laborers didn’t show up at the Gorakhpur site. It’s a lot of back and forth. You won’t find any fancy coffee machines here, just a kettle and some local tea bags. The traffic outside on the main road is constant, so there is always a bit of a hum in the background while we work. We’ve been in this spot for a while now and the neighbors know us. Sometimes someone pops in just to borrow a stapler or ask about a local plumber. We don’t have a big marketing team or anything like that. It’s just a few of us trying to make sure the buildings we are working on actually get finished. We get our boots dirty and come back here to do the paperwork. It’s a small operation, but it keeps us busy from Monday to Saturday. Sometimes the rain leaks a bit near the window, but we just put a bucket down and keep going. That’s just how it is here.
