We’ve been here at 30 G Bomanji Lane for quite some time now. It’s a busy part of Fort, always something happening outside the windows of room 201. Most days start with the sound of the street waking up and people rushing to their own offices nearby. Shahi World isn't a fancy place with lots of glass and chrome, but it’s where we get our work done. The space is a bit cramped if everyone shows up at once, but we make it work. We have old desks and some chairs that have seen better days. Sometimes the lift in the building is acting up, so we just take the stairs. It keeps us moving. People find us because they know the area well or they’ve been told where to look. It’s not the easiest spot to park a car, that’s for sure. We spend our mornings sorting through things and talking to whoever drops by. Usually, we're just focused on the tasks right in front of us. No one here wears a suit unless they really have to. We mostly just drink a lot of tea and keep the fans running when it gets hot in the afternoons. It’s just how things go here in Mumbai. We don't really think about big goals much, we just try to get through the day's pile of paperwork and make sure everything is where it should be before we head home for the evening.
