Shah International Aromatics

Our place is in the Bhandup Industrial Estate, specifically Unit 37 on the first floor of the A-Wing. It’s at 1037 L.B.S. Marg, so the sound of the main road is always there in the background. Being in an industrial estate means there’s always something happening, like trucks backing up or people shouting across the corridor. When you walk into our unit, the first thing you notice is the scent. It’s a blend of all sorts of aromatics that we handle. We have shelves lined with glass bottles and plastic jugs, all labeled with markers. The floor is that hard industrial tile that’s easy to wipe down when something spills. We spend a lot of our time measuring out liquids and packing them into smaller containers for shipping. The elevator in this building is quite old and slow, so we often end up taking the stairs if we’re in a hurry. It’s a bit of a maze in here, but we have our own little system that makes sense to us. We don’t have a fancy showroom. It’s just a working space where we mix and bottle things. Some days are busier than others, especially when a big order comes in and we have to stay late to get the boxes taped up. It’s just us doing our daily rounds in this corner of Bhandup, keeping the bottles moving.
