Shabana Exports

Shabana Exports is on the ground floor of Ratan House. It’s located on Gola Lane, number 27, right behind the Handloom House in the Fort area. Being in Fort means the buildings are very old and have a lot of character. Our office has high ceilings and thick walls, which keeps it cool even when it’s hot outside. We deal with exports, mainly handling the goods that come through this part of town. The lane is quite narrow, so getting big deliveries in can be a bit of a struggle. We often have to carry things by hand from the main road. Inside, it’s a bit cluttered. We have samples of fabrics and other items all over the place. We’ve been here for a long time, and the desk I sit at was probably here before I was born. It’s a busy spot because of where we are. People are always walking by and popping their heads in to ask for directions or just to say hello. We don’t have any fancy marketing or a website that looks like a million bucks. We just do the work, keep our records in order, and talk to our suppliers every day. It’s a lot of routine, but we like the familiarity of it. The street food around here is great, so lunch is always the best part of the day for everyone.
