Shaan Bags

Shaan Bags is located at 26 Gaikwad Compound, right across from the Byculla Station in Byculla West. Being so close to the station means we hear the trains going by all day long. It is a bit noisy, but you get used to it after a while. The compound is an old place with a lot of character. We deal with bags of all types here. It is more of a workspace than a fancy boutique. We have piles of material and finished bags everywhere. Sometimes it looks a bit messy, but we know exactly where everything is. We spend most of our time moving boxes around and talking to the delivery guys. Because we are near the station, we get a lot of people who are just passing through. They might need a quick replacement for a bag that broke on their commute. We don't have air conditioning, so we rely on the big ceiling fans to keep the air moving. It is hard work, especially when we have a big shipment coming in or going out. We just focus on the task at hand. It’s a plain, honest business where the focus is on the bags themselves. No one wears a suit here. We just wear our regular clothes and get our hands dirty when we need to. That is just how life is for us at the compound.
