Our office is located in Bussa Udyog Bhavan on T. J. Road, which is right in the middle of the Sewri and Dadar industrial area. It’s unit 4/413. If you’ve ever been to this part of town, you know the traffic can be a real headache, especially during the morning rush. The building itself is quite big and houses so many different businesses. You can hear the hum of machines from the other floors most of the day. Inside our space at Khemka Klothings, things are usually a bit cluttered. We have fabric samples draped over chairs and stacks of pattern papers on the tables. It’s a busy environment. We spend a lot of time talking to suppliers and checking on the stitching quality of our latest batches. We don't have a receptionist or a fancy waiting area. Usually, if someone comes by, they just find us at our desks or back in the storage area. We’ve been here for a good while and have seen the neighborhood change quite a bit. The lift in the building is a bit slow, so we often end up taking the stairs just to save time. Lunch is usually a quick affair at our desks, though sometimes we head out to the local stalls nearby. We just focus on getting the clothes made right and out the door on time. It’s hard work, but it keeps us going every single day. There is always a lot to do, and we just take it one pile of cloth at a time.
