Sarveshwar Kirana Store

I’ve been running Sarveshwar Kirana Store for a while now. We are right at Shop No 128/B in Takiya Ward. It’s a busy spot on MG Road in Kurla West, mostly because we are right opposite the Sarveshwar Mandir. People often stop by after visiting the temple. It’s just me and a couple of helpers mostly. We keep all the basic stuff like different types of rice, pulses, sugar, and tea. Sometimes the shelves get a bit messy when a big delivery comes in, but we try to keep things organized so people can find what they need quickly. Most mornings start with setting out the grain sacks and checking what’s running low. It gets pretty crowded in the evenings when everyone is heading home from work and realizes they forgot to buy milk or oil. Kurla is always loud and fast, but this shop feels like a steady place. We know most of the people who live in the lanes behind the shop. It’s not a big supermarket or anything like that, just a regular kirana shop where you can get your monthly groceries. I handle the accounts myself on a small desk in the corner. Sometimes the electricity goes out for a bit, but we just keep going. It’s just the way things are here. We try to stock the brands people ask for most. If something isn't there, I usually tell them to come back in two days. This shop is my life.
