We are up on the 1st Floor of the Milan Garment Hub, which is Shop No. 138. It’s right near the Gold Cinema and the Milan Subway in Santacruz West. Being in a hub like this means there’s always something happening. You can hear the trains from the subway and the crowds going to the movies nearby. Our shop isn't very large, but we pack a lot into it. We have racks of clothes lining the walls and a small counter where we handle the payments. It gets pretty crowded in the hallways of the hub, especially on weekends when everyone is out shopping for the latest things. We spend a lot of time re-hanging items and making sure everything is in the right place. The lighting isn't the best in this building, but we’ve added a few extra bulbs so people can see the colors properly. It’s a busy life in Mumbai, and we’re just one small part of it. We see a lot of different people coming through the doors, some just looking and some who know exactly what they want. We don’t use any big sales tactics or pushy talk. If someone likes what they see, they buy it. We just try to keep the stock fresh and the shop open during the hours we promised. It’s a lot of standing around on hard floors, but we’re used to it.
