Freshly Foods

We are over at Shop No. 17 in the Pankaj Shopping Centre, right by the Vakola Bridge in Santacruz East. It is a small place, but we keep it busy every day. Each morning starts quite early for us because that is when the new stuff arrives from the market. The bridge area is always noisy with cars and buses, but it brings a lot of people by our door. We have been here a while and most of the neighbors stop in at least once a day to see what we have. It is a simple setup inside with no fancy decorations. We do not have bright lights or anything like that. Just the counters and the food we sell. Sometimes things get a bit messy when we are unpacking crates, but that is just how it goes in a food shop. My brother and I take turns at the counter. We know most of the customers by their names now. It is nice when someone comes in just to say hello while they are passing through on their way home. Santacruz is a very crowded place, so we try to keep things moving as fast as we can. We do not spend much time on making the place look pretty. The shelves are for holding things and that is about all. People know where to find us under the bridge. If the shop is open, someone is here. We stay open late because people coming home from work need things. It is just us and the shop.
