Sansui Paints

Our shop is J 108, located in Sakinaka within Jayanagar 4th Block. It’s a pretty standard commercial spot in a very busy part of the city. We have stacks of paint cans practically reaching the ceiling in some corners. The floor is usually covered in a few stray drips of color from when we’ve mixed batches for customers. It’s a working shop, so things aren't always perfectly tidy. We spend a lot of our time helping people pick out colors or hauling heavy buckets out to their vehicles. The air always has that distinct smell of fresh paint and thinner, which we’ve stopped noticing after all these years. Sakinaka is known for being hectic, and the street outside our door is no exception. There are always delivery trucks and people moving about. We don't have a fancy showroom with lighting displays; we just have the actual products on the shelves. Sometimes we just sit on a stool by the door during the slow hours and watch the traffic go by. People in Jayanagar know us because we’ve been in this exact spot for a long time. We just try to keep enough stock on hand so nobody leaves disappointed. It’s a simple business, really. We open up in the morning, talk to the locals, sell some paint, and close up when the sun goes down. It is just honest work in a busy neighborhood.
