Yash Arts

Our workshop is located at number 14 in Shiv Huvan building. It is right on Bhogilal Fadia road in Kandivali West. It is a decent spot, though the street gets quite packed with cars during the evening rush. We have been working from this space for several years now. The walls are usually covered in whatever we are working on at the moment. It is not a showroom where everything is tidy and polished. Most of the time, there is dust on the floor and tools lying around on the benches. We like it that way because it shows we are actually doing something. Neighbors from the building often drop by just to see what is new or to have a quick word about the weather. We grew up in this part of Mumbai, so we know the local rhythm pretty well. Life in Kandivali is fast, but inside the shop, we try to take our time with the things we make. Sometimes the light in the afternoon is just right for working, and other times we have to rely on the old tube lights we have fixed to the ceiling. We don't spend money on advertising because people usually find us through word of mouth or by just walking past the building. It is a simple life of making things and hoping they turn out okay. We don't have a big sign out front, just a small board that has been there for years. The neighbors know us as the guys who are always working late.
