Jay Decorators

Jay Decorators is based in Goregaon West at Gala No 3, Om Saio Shraddha Society 251/2005. It’s a long address, but the place itself is just a regular gala in the society. We have stacks of fabrics and decorations piled up against the walls. It can get a bit tight when we are preparing for a big job. The Om Saio Shraddha Society is a busy residential area, so there are always kids playing outside or people chatting near the gate. We’ve been in Gala No 3 for several years now. We know the security guards and the milkman. Our work involves a lot of moving things in and out, so we are always loading or unloading vans. The floor in the gala is concrete and a bit uneven in the back. We have a small desk where we keep our diaries and notes. Sometimes we sit there and plan out what needs to go where. It’s not a fancy showroom. It’s more of a workspace where the real labor happens. We get dusty and tired, but that’s part of the job. Goregaon West has changed a lot over time, but our little spot in the society stays pretty much the same. We just keep our heads down and handle the decorating stuff as it comes in. The gala is small but it serves us well for everything we need to store. We are just regular people working here.
