A S K Decorator

You can find us over on Haines Road. We’ve been running A S K Decorator from this location for a long time. It’s not a fancy studio with big window displays. Mostly, it’s a place where we keep our bamboo poles, cloth rolls, and all the stuff we need for setting up stages or tents. Haines Road is always moving, and we are usually moving right along with it, loading things onto trucks early in the morning. Being a decorator means we aren't always in the shop. Most of the time, we are out at different sites, but this is our base. If you walk in, you’ll see piles of folded fabrics and boxes of lights. It looks a bit disorganized to someone else, but we have our own system. My crew and I spend a lot of time checking the condition of our materials because things get worn out after a few weddings or local events. We don't use big words to describe what we do. We just set things up so they look decent for whatever function is happening. Sometimes the weather makes it hard, like when it rains and we have to hurry to cover everything up. We have regular customers from the nearby blocks who just drop by to talk about their upcoming family events. We don't have a salesperson; you just talk to me or whoever is in the shop at the time. It’s a straightforward business on a busy street and we like it that way.
