Our office is tucked away in Solitaire Corporate Park, right there on Guru Hargovindji Marg. If you know Andheri, you know how the traffic gets on the Ghatkopar Link Road near Chakala. We spend a lot of our time looking out at the cars while we handle the paperwork and the phone calls. Being in this part of Mumbai means everything is fast. We have these desks piled with papers and phones that do not seem to stop ringing some mornings. It is a corporate park, so it looks decent from the outside, but inside, we are just regular people trying to keep the business running. We deal with industrial supplies and manage the logistics from this spot. The elevators are always full of people in a rush, but our corner is where the real work happens. We drink a lot of chai from the local guy nearby. Sometimes the air conditioning is too cold, and we have to wear sweaters even when it is boiling outside. We have been at this address for a good bit now. People come in for meetings, and we try to find a place for them to sit among the files. It is not always organized, but we know where everything is kept. Moving stuff through Andheri East takes a lot of coordination because of the narrow streets and the rain during monsoon season. We just take it one day at a time, making sure the orders are processed and the logs are updated. It is a busy life in a busy building.
