Being on Abdul Rehman Street means we are right in the heart of Mumbai’s trading hub. Our place is on the first floor of the Mansagar Building. The stairs are narrow and a bit steep, so carrying boxes up and down is always a workout. It’s an old building, but it has character. The street outside is constantly filled with carts, bikes, and people shouting, so it’s never quiet here. We spend our mornings opening up the mail and checking what needs to go out that day. It’s a small team, so everyone ends up doing a bit of everything, from answering the phone to packing boxes. We don't have a big fancy lobby or anything like that. Just a work area with enough room for the inventory and a couple of desks. Sometimes the rain during monsoon leaks a little near the window, but we’ve learned to deal with it. We’ve been in this neighborhood for a while, and we know the chai wallah and the courier guys by name. It’s a tight-knit community despite the noise. We just focus on getting the day's work done and making sure our records are straight. It’s a busy life, but it’s what we know. We have 76A as our address, and we share the floor with a few other small businesses. Everyone is just trying to get through their to-do list before the day ends and the shops start to close up.
