Sai Marine Service

You can find us at 16 Anand Bhuvan on S.B.S Road in the Fort area. Being right at number 290 means we are in the middle of all that old Mumbai bustle. Sai Marine Service has been running from this building for quite some time now. The staircase up to the office is a bit narrow and you can hear the street noise from the windows all day long. We deal with marine parts and servicing, so there’s usually a lot of talk about ships and engine repairs going on. The walls are covered with old calendars and maps of the docks. It’s not a very big office, but we manage to fit everything we need into the space. We have piles of manuals and technical drawings sitting on the shelves that we go through when a specific part is needed. Most of the guys here have grease under their fingernails and don't really care about keeping the place looking like a showroom. We get a lot of people dropping in from the nearby docks to ask about spares or just to have a quick chat about the current work. In the evenings, the light coming through the windows gets a bit dim, but we usually stay late to finish up whatever came in that morning. It’s just a busy, honest spot in a very old part of town where everyone knows each other.
