S N General Store

If you live around Bhandup West, you probably know the area near Dr. B R Kadam Clinic. We are right opposite that, in Vijay Niwas, Room Number 1. It’s a simple general store. We keep a bit of everything because that’s what people around Jangal need. You’ve got your soaps, snacks, and the basic stuff for the kitchen. It’s not a huge place, so things are stacked pretty high on the shelves. Sometimes you have to move one thing to get to another. We open early in the morning when the milk arrives and stay open until fairly late. It’s mostly neighbors coming in for small things they forgot to buy elsewhere. We know most of the people who walk through the door by name. The clinic across the way keeps the street busy, so there’s always someone stopping by. It gets a bit dusty with the road right there, but we try to keep the counters clean. We don’t have any fancy scanners or big marketing plans. We just sell what people ask for. Sometimes the cat from the street hangs out near the door. It’s a regular neighborhood shop where people chat for a minute while they pay. We’ve been in this room for a long time and the routine doesn’t change much, which is fine by us.
