S M Trading

S M Trading is located at 130, SVP Road. We are right opposite the Nal Bazar Market, in the Appa Building. If you are looking for us, we are on Bada Imam Road, very close to the Gol Deval Mandir. This area is always moving. There are carts, people, and bikes everywhere you look. Our shop is old, like most of the buildings around here. We deal in various trading items, mostly hardware and stuff for the local markets. The space is tight, and we have to stack everything carefully so we can still walk around. It gets very noisy with the temple bells and the market sounds right outside the door. We have been in this spot for a long time. My uncle used to run things, and now we just keep it going. We don't have any computers for the accounts, we just use the big yellow books. Customers come in and sit on the edge of the desk while we talk. It’s a very social way of doing business. Sometimes we have to move boxes out to the street just to find what someone asked for. The tea guy comes by every hour, and that’s how we keep moving. It's not a polished place. The walls could use some paint and the door squeaks, but it’s our place. We know everyone in the building and everyone on the street. It’s just how things work here in this part of Mumbai.
