Ryans

Ryans is located on Shivane Linking Road in Santacruz West. If you know the area, you know how the traffic can get around here. It’s almost never quiet outside our door. We’ve been at this spot for a good while now, and the building has seen better days, but it’s ours. Inside, things are a bit cluttered because we have a lot of stock coming in and out all the time. Sometimes the air conditioner makes a weird rattling noise, but it keeps the place cool enough. We spend a lot of our time just talking to the people who walk in. Some are just passing through Santacruz West, while others have lived here for decades. It’s a real mix. We don’t really do anything fancy with the decor or have big signs. It’s just the name Ryans on the front and us inside doing the work. Usually, I’m the one opening up, and by the time evening rolls around, my feet are pretty tired. We’ve had some long days where things didn’t go as planned, like when the power went out last month for three hours. We just sat there with the door open waiting for the lights to come back. The sidewalk outside is always uneven, so we have to tell people to watch their step when they leave. It is just a normal, everyday business trying to stay busy on a very loud and crowded road. We just try to keep things moving as much as we can.
