Rubina Garments

Rubina Garments is based in Mumbai. Being in a city like this means we are always surrounded by the fast pace and the constant noise. Our work with garments happens right in the middle of all that. We don't have a huge, fancy building to show off, just a spot where we can get our work done every day. Mumbai is a tough place to run a business sometimes because everything moves so quickly and the space is always tight. We spend our hours sorting through materials and making sure the sewing is done right. It’s a simple setup. Most of the time, we are just busy with the daily routine of handling orders and talking to suppliers. The monsoon rains usually make things a bit difficult, but we just keep the doors shut and keep working. We aren't trying to be the biggest name out there. We just want to stay consistent with what we do. Our staff knows the city well and we’ve all learned how to navigate the challenges of working here. There’s no big story behind it, just a lot of hard work in a crowded city. We see the trains and the buses go by and we just stay focused on the clothes. It’s a practical life. We make things, we pack them, and we send them out. That is how Rubina Garments operates day after day in this city.
