Ritu Garments & Embroidery Works

We are situated at Gc-10 in the Karma Stambh building on L. B. S. Marg, right in Vikhroli West. It’s pretty easy to find since we are just opposite the M. T. N. L. office. That road is always packed with buses and cars, so there’s a lot of noise coming in from outside. Ritu Garments & Embroidery Works is a busy place. We have hoops and threads scattered all over. Embroidery takes a lot of time and patience, so we spend hours just sitting and working on small details. My hands get tired, but that’s the job. The building itself is quite sturdy, though the hallways can be a bit dark. We’ve been here for a good while. We don't have any fancy displays in the window. Usually, we just have whatever we are currently working on sitting out. People stop by after finishing their business at the phone office across the street. We chat with the security guard at the gate every morning. It's a regular routine. We drink tea, work on the garments, and try to keep things organized, even if we aren't always successful at that. It's a small operation, just a few of us doing the work day in and day out. We like being in Vikhroli. It feels like we are part of the neighborhood, even with all the traffic. We just keep our heads down and get the stitching done.
