Rio-India

Our office is over in Royal Sands, right on New Link Road. If you know Andheri West, you know how the traffic gets around here. We are in unit A-201. It’s a decent enough space, though the elevator acts up sometimes and we have to take the stairs. Rio-India is where we spend most of our waking hours. It’s not a huge operation at all. Just a few of us sitting at desks trying to stay on top of the pile of work. The view from the window isn't much to talk about, just more buildings and the road below. We keep a kettle in the corner for tea because we drink a lot of it. It helps when the long afternoons start to feel slow. We’ve been here for a bit now, long enough that the security guards know us by name. Work is steady. We handle the paperwork and the logistics without making a big fuss about it. Sometimes the rain leaks a little near the window sill, but we just put a towel down and keep going. It’s a practical place. We don’t have those modern open-plan offices you see in magazines. It’s just rooms and hallways. We get our work done and go home. Andheri is a loud place, but once you close the door, it’s alright. We focus on our tasks and stay organized. We try to leave by six, but sometimes things happen. It's a living, and we're used to the rhythm of this place by now.
