Red Arch Fashion

Red Arch Fashion is tucked away at 159/2, Amrut Niwas. We are on Cavel X Lane, No. 6, which is just off Dr Viegas Street on Kalbadevi Road. If you know Mumbai, you know Kalbadevi is one of those places where the streets are always packed with people and carts. Our building, Amrut Niwas, has a lot of history to it. You can feel it in the stairs and the old walls. We do our fashion work in a room that gets just enough light during the day. It’s cramped sometimes because we have a lot of stuff shoved into the corners, but we know where everything is. The noise from the street carries up, so there is always a background sound of honking and shouting. We are used to it by now. We spend our time cutting, sewing, and checking over the garments. It’s not a place for people who like peace and quiet. We have been operating out of this lane for a good while. Most of the other shops around here do similar things, so we see the same faces every morning. We don’t have a website or anything like that; we just rely on being here and doing the job. Sometimes the rain makes the lane a bit messy, but that’s just life in this part of the city. We open up early and stay until the work is finished. It is just a regular job for us at 159/2.
