Rare Earth

Rare Earth is situated at 327, Pragati Premises on N.M. Joshi Marg. If you know Lower Parel East, you know it’s a bit of a maze with all the old buildings and new glass towers standing side by side. Our office is in one of those older commercial blocks where the elevators are sometimes a bit temperamental. We spend a lot of time walking up and down the stairs if the lift is busy with deliveries. The space itself is decent, though we’ve definitely outgrown it over the last couple of years. There are boxes stacked in the corners and the desks are a bit crowded together. From the window, you can see the trains going past, which is a constant backdrop to our workday. N.M. Joshi Marg is always packed with people, so it’s never quiet. We usually start the day with some tea from the stall downstairs and then get straight into whatever needs doing. It’s not a polished corporate environment by any means. There’s a lot of chatter and the sound of keyboards going all day. Sometimes we have to move the furniture around just to fit a new shipment in. It’s a bit chaotic, but it’s how we’ve always operated. We don't have a big sign on the street, just a small nameplate by the door that’s starting to peel a bit at the edges. It’s just our daily reality.
