Ramdev General Stores

Ramdev General Stores is located in the Ravi Kiran Building, specifically at 2 on Carter Road Number 3 in Borivali East. Living and working in Borivali means you are always around people. The building is an older one, and our shop is right on the ground floor. We serve all the families who live in the apartments nearby. We stock everything from floor cleaners to packets of maggi noodles. It’s a very local vibe here. People often come in just to ask about someone’s health or to complain about the local train delays. We have shelves that go all the way up, and we use a long stick to reach the things at the back. It’s not a very modern setup, but it works for us. We have a small stool behind the counter where I sit and read the newspaper when it’s quiet. We don't have any staff, it's just a family-run thing. We don't use any social media to tell people about our shop. They just know we are here. Sometimes the rains in Mumbai make it hard because the water comes near the door, but we manage. We keep the pulses in glass jars so people can see what they are buying. It’s a very honest way of doing business. We are just a regular part of the Carter Road community and we like it that way. We just keep the shelves full and the door open for everyone.
