Rajesh Stores

Our store is on Mahakali Caves Road in Andheri East, at number 34. This is a very crowded part of Mumbai, so there is always a lot of energy and noise outside our door. The store is packed with stuff from the floor to the ceiling. We do not have a lot of walking space, but we know exactly where every single item is kept. It is a bit of a maze if you are not used to it. We have been in Andheri East for a long time now. The humidity here can be tough, so we have a couple of small fans that spin all day long. People from the nearby offices and apartments come in all the time to get what they need. We do not have a computer system for the stock; we just remember what we have or check the boxes. It is an old-fashioned way of running a store, but it works for us. The storefront is narrow, and you have to watch your step because the sidewalk is a bit uneven. We stay open late because the road stays busy until midnight. It is a lot of standing and moving around, but we are used to the pace. We have our regulars who stop by just to say hello while they pick up their things. Sometimes we share a quick snack in the back when we find a minute to sit down. It is a simple life here at number 34.
