Raman Stores

Raman Stores is tucked away in Gupta Market, over at Shop Number 20. If you know where M M Mithaiwala is in Malad West, we are just near there on the 12th Cross. It’s a small shop, but we pack a lot into it. Dealing with customers all day keeps us on our toes. The shelves are always being restocked because things move fast around here. Sometimes the boxes pile up in the back, and we have to shuffle things around to find what someone is looking for. It gets a little crowded when more than three people are inside at once, but that is just how these market shops are. We’ve been at this location for a good bit of time now. The neighborhood around Anand is usually buzzing with people shopping for their daily stuff. We open up early and stay until the evening rush dies down. There isn’t much to the decor, just simple counters and racks. We talk to the regulars about the weather or the traffic while we ring things up. It’s not a big corporate operation, just us working in the market. Sometimes the lights flicker or the door squeaks, but we don’t mind. It’s home for us during the day. We try to keep things organized, even if it doesn’t always look perfect to an outsider. It’s a busy life, but it’s what we know.
