Ramakrishna Store

We are at Stall No 8 in Matunga East. It’s right by the Kabutar Khana, which is always busy with pigeons and people walking to the station. Being opposite Ramashray Hotel means we see a lot of hungry people every single day. Sometimes they stop by here after their breakfast just to look around or grab what they need. Our spot is in E Block on the 6th Main. It is not a very big space, just a regular stall where we keep things organized the best way we can. Usually, the mornings are the loudest because of the traffic and the birds. We have been here for a while now, seeing the neighborhood change bit by bit. Matunga has a specific feel to it, especially this part of the East. People know us by now, or they just recognize the stall number when they are looking for directions. It gets quite crowded on weekends when everyone comes out for South Indian food across the street. We just keep the shutters up and do our work until it’s time to head home. There isn't much more to it than that. Just a daily routine of opening up, talking to the regulars, and making sure everything is in its place. The weather can be a bit much in the summer, but the shade from the buildings helps a little. We like the spot because everyone passes through here eventually. It is just life at Ramakrishna Store.
