Ram Ratna International

Ram Ratna International is located in Ram Ratna House, which is inside the Victoria Mill Compound on Pandurang Budhakar Marg in Worli. This area used to be full of old mills, and our office still has that old-school feel to it. The ceilings are high and the walls are thick. It’s a big space, but we’ve managed to fill it up with desks, files, and samples of the products we handle. Worli is a very busy part of Mumbai, so there’s always something happening outside the gate. We spend our days dealing with international shipments, which means a lot of paperwork and time spent on the phone with customs and shipping agents. It’s not as glamorous as it sounds. Mostly it’s just checking numbers and making sure the dates match up. We don't have a fancy lobby with a receptionist. You just walk in and see everyone working at their stations. We have a small pantry where we make tea and coffee, and that’s usually where the best conversations happen. Sometimes the rain in Mumbai makes it hard to get to the office, but we usually manage. We aren't a corporate giant with a thousand rules. We just have a set of tasks to finish every day and we get them done. The office can get a bit loud when everyone is on the phone at once, but that’s just the sound of work being done. We usually head home around six in the evening when the traffic peaks.
