Rajkamal Stores

If you find yourself walking through the busy streets of Kalbadevi, you’ll likely pass right by Bharat Bhavan. Our shop, Rajkamal Stores, is located at Shop No 49 inside that building. It’s quite close to the Premdas Bhimji Jewellery Showroom, which is a big landmark everyone seems to know around here. The area is always packed with people looking for different things, and we’ve been part of this community for a while. We don't have a massive storefront with bright flashing lights or anything like that. It’s just a regular local shop where we keep our stock and wait for customers to drop in. Sometimes it gets a bit cramped when we have a lot of new items coming in, but we manage to keep things organized enough. The heat can get a bit much in the afternoons, but that is just life in this part of the city. We see a lot of the same faces every day, which is nice. Most of our work involves just chatting with neighbors and making sure we have what people are looking for. We don’t do much fancy advertising because word of mouth usually does the job for us. It’s a straightforward life running a shop in such an old, historic part of town. If the door is open, we are probably inside sorting through stuff or checking the ledgers.
