Rajeshree Jadhav

I’m Rajeshree Jadhav, and I run my operations from my place in Sai Kripa Society, Flat No 71 on Sandhut Road. It is a bit different from a typical office because it’s a residential building. You have to sign in at the gate, and sometimes the lift is slow, but it’s a quiet place to get things done. My office is really just one room of the flat set up with a desk, a couple of computers, and a printer that occasionally jams. I like it this way because I don't have to deal with a long commute every morning. I can just start my work with a cup of home-made coffee. It is a very personal way to work. When clients come over, we sit in the living area and talk through things. It isn't formal or stiff. There is often the smell of cooking from the neighboring flats or the sound of kids playing in the society compound downstairs. Some might think it’s not professional enough, but my clients seem to appreciate the relaxed atmosphere. I handle everything myself, from the first phone call to the final bit of paperwork. It’s a one-person show mostly. I keep my own hours, which often means I’m working late into the evening when the rest of the building is quiet. It suits me perfectly and I wouldn't change it for a fancy office downtown.
