Raj Ratan Export

We work out of Shop No 303 in VTM Building No 2. It is an industrial-style building in Andheri East, right near the Bank of India branch. Being an export business, our space is usually full of cardboard boxes, rolls of packing tape, and piles of shipping documents. It is not a place for visitors really, as it is more of a functional workspace where we handle all the logistics. The room is a bit grey and the fluorescent lights can be a little harsh on the eyes after a few hours. We spend a lot of time on the phone or checking the details on the invoices to make sure everything is right before it goes out. The building is always busy with people from other units moving goods, so the lift is often occupied. We have a couple of metal desks and some old chairs that we've had since we started. There is a small corner where we keep the kettle for making tea during the long afternoons. Andheri East is a very hectic area with lots of traffic and noise, but once we are inside the unit, we just focus on the task at hand. We don't have any decorations on the walls, just a few calendars and maps. It is a straightforward operation and we just try to keep up with the daily flow of orders and paperwork without making a fuss.
