R. L. Bara & Sons

We are located at 185/187 Samuel Street. Our shop is number three. If you know Masjid Bunder West, you know how packed it gets around here. It’s always a bit of a squeeze getting through the street, especially in the mornings when everyone is moving goods. We’ve been at this spot for a good while now. It’s just us, R. L. Bara & Sons, doing what we do every day. Sometimes the fan in the shop makes too much noise, but you get used to it. The walls could probably use a new coat of paint, but we haven't found the time yet. Customers come in and out, mostly local folks from around the neighborhood. It’s not a fancy place, just a regular shop where we keep things moving. We try to keep things organized on the shelves, but it’s hard when it’s busy. Usually, one of us is here from early morning until the sun goes down. The address is pretty easy to find once you get onto Samuel Street, just look for the number three sign. There is a tea stall nearby that makes decent chai, so that’s a plus for us. We don't have a big website or anything, just this physical space where we handle our business. It’s a lot of manual work and talking to people face to face. We like it that way. If you’re ever in this part of town, you’ll see how the life of the market just keeps going.
