Ak Garments

We’re tucked away in Shop No-34 over at Chaudi Galli. If you know the National Market area on R.A. Kidwai Road, you just take the first right and look for us near Mittu Pan Wala. It’s a busy corner of Prabuddha Nagar, and there's always something going on outside. We deal with garments, so the shop is usually full of fabric and plastic bags from the latest stock. It’s a lot of work getting everything sorted out. Sometimes the piles of clothes get a bit high on the table while we’re trying to show things to customers. We don't have fancy lights or a big dressing room. It’s more of a traditional market shop where you look through the stacks to find what you like. The guys here have been working in the garment trade for years, so we know a bit about what we’re selling. We aren't big on fancy talk or sales pitches. If you like a shirt, you buy it. If it doesn't fit, we try to find one that does. It gets pretty hot in the afternoons, especially when the market is packed, but we keep the fan going and just carry on. It’s a simple business. We open up in the morning, sweep the front, and start the day. Most of our customers have been coming to this market for a long time. It’s a bit of a maze back here, but once you find us, it’s easy enough to come back next time.
