Purohit General Store

Purohit General Store is right here on Kama Lane in Goregaon West. We’ve been at this A-1 spot for years, and most of the people in the neighborhood know us by now. We carry a bit of everything, from soap and biscuits to the basic things you need for the kitchen. It’s a typical local shop where the shelves are packed high. Sometimes it’s hard to find things, but we usually know exactly where everything is hidden. We open early in the morning so people can grab what they need before heading to work. It’s a lot of standing around and chatting with the neighbors while we bag up their groceries. We aren't a big supermarket chain, just a small corner store trying to keep the essentials in stock. Sometimes the milk delivery is late or we run out of a popular brand of tea, and we just have to tell people to come back tomorrow. It’s a simple life, really. We see the kids grow up and then they start coming in to buy things for their own homes. The lane can get crowded in the evenings, but that's when we're the busiest. We just keep the lights on and keep the shelves filled as best as we can. It’s just a neighborhood shop where you can get your daily items and have a quick talk with us.
