Pudumjee Pulp & Paper Mills Ltd has its office in Jatia Chambers. The address is 60 Dr V B Gandhi Marg. It’s a well-known building in this part of town, and it has a lot of character. We’ve been here for many years. When you walk into the office, you can tell right away it’s a place that deals with paper. There are stacks of paper everywhere, and the smell of old files and ink is quite strong. We don't run the actual paper mill from this office, of course. This is where the administrative and coordination side of the business happens. We deal with the logistics, the supply chain, and the accounts. The rooms are high-ceilinged and have that solid, old-fashioned feel to them. We have a lot of staff members who have been with Pudumjee for decades. They know exactly how every part of the system works. Dr V B Gandhi Marg is a busy street with lots of people, but once you are inside Jatia Chambers, it gets a bit more peaceful. We spend our hours typing away on computers or talking to the factory workers on the phone. Sometimes there are samples of pulp or different paper grades lying on the large tables. We check them over to see if they are the right quality. It is a very routine-based environment. We don't change things much around here because the current way of doing things works just fine. We just keep the paper business moving along from our desks every day.
