Pravin Provison Stores

We run our grocery business out of three adjacent shops, numbers 40, 41, and 42, on Salapose Road in the Acharya Donge area of Sewri. We are situated near the Dosti Flamingo towers, which have brought a lot of new people into this part of the city recently. Our store is a typical provision shop where we stock all the essentials for the kitchen and home. We have everything from different types of rice and lentils to soaps, snacks, and toiletries. It gets very busy in the early mornings when residents from the nearby buildings come in to get milk and bread before heading to work. We also have a rush in the late evenings. Managing three shops side by side means we have a lot of shelf space, but it still feels small when the delivery trucks arrive and we have to unload everything. We’ve been here for a long time, long before the big towers were built. We know the old families in Sewri quite well. Sometimes they just come in to say hello even if they aren't buying anything. We have a few staff members who help with weighing out the grains and packing things up. It’s a busy life, and we are on our feet most of the day. There is no air conditioning, just a few ceiling fans that struggle in the summer heat. It’s a straightforward, local shop for the neighborhood's daily needs.
