Prakash Aquarist

Prakash Aquarist is a small shop tucked into Building 15 in D.N. Nagar, right on J.P. Road in Andheri West. We’ve been in this same spot for quite a while now. It’s a modest space, so we have to be careful about how we stack the tanks and the fish food. You won’t find any corporate vibes here. It’s just a local shop where we deal with everything related to aquariums. We spend most of our mornings checking the water and feeding the stock. It’s a lot of routine work that people don’t always see. Sometimes the shop feels a bit cluttered, but we know where every little valve and air stone is kept. We don't go in for big advertisements or flashy signs. Most of our regulars just drop by for a chat or to pick up their usual supplies. We’ve seen the neighborhood change a lot over the years, but our shop stays pretty much the same. We aren't experts in everything, but we know our fish and we know what works for a home tank. If something isn't working, we’ll tell you straight. It’s a small life, but we enjoy the quiet moments when the shop isn't too crowded and the fish are just swimming around. We just want to keep things running and help out our neighbors with their hobbies. It's a simple shop for simple needs, and we like being right here on J.P. Road.
