Poush

Working at Poush is interesting because we are right in the World Trade Centre at Cuffe Parade. Specifically at Gate No 3, Tower No 5, shop 27. It's a big building, so people sometimes get lost trying to find us among all the other offices. We get a mix of office workers and people visiting the various exhibitions that happen here. The atmosphere is different from a regular street-side shop. It's more of a professional crowd, I guess. We keep the place clean and the tables set for the lunch rush. The kitchen handles a lot of orders during the afternoon. We try to keep things organized, but when three or four groups walk in at once, it gets a bit tight in the seating area. Colaba is a busy part of town, though being inside the trade center makes it feel a bit more tucked away from the rain and the heat. We spend a lot of time checking our stock and making sure we have enough of everything for the coming week. The commute to get here can be a pain with the traffic around Colaba, but we're used to it by now. The lighting in the tower is all artificial, so we don't see much of the sun during our shifts. We focus on getting the food out on time so people can get back to their meetings or their work. It’s a steady job and we like the people we meet here. Most people are just looking for a quiet place to sit for thirty minutes.
