Poonam Agarwal is situated on the 23rd floor of Suraj Millenium on Bhulabhai Desai Road. Being up that high in Breach Candy means you get a lot of light coming through the windows, even on the cloudy days. You can see the water from some of the rooms, which is a nice distraction when the work gets a bit tedious. The building is one of those modern ones, but our office doesn’t feel like a cold corporate space. We have our own way of organizing things, which usually involves a lot of sticky notes and piles of paper that only we understand. The traffic on the road below is constant, but up on the twenty-third floor, it’s mostly just a low hum that you stop noticing after the first hour. It takes a while for the elevator to reach us, especially during the lunch hour when everyone is moving around. We aren't a massive operation with hundreds of people. It’s just us, working through the daily chores and making sure everything is sorted out. Sometimes the air conditioning is a bit too cold, so we usually have sweaters hanging on the backs of our chairs. It’s a very practical, everyday kind of place where the focus is just on getting through the workload. We like the area because everything you need is just a short walk away from the main entrance.
