Phulchand Exports

We’re located over at 67 Bajaj Bhawan in Nariman Point. It’s a famous spot in the Fort area, but our office is pretty humble compared to some of the big banks nearby. Phulchand Exports has been running out of this building for quite some time. The lifts are always crowded in the morning so some of us just take the stairs if we’re feeling up to it. Working in export means we’re always looking at schedules and worrying about shipping dates. There is a lot of back and forth with different people and sometimes the paperwork is enough to make your head spin. We don’t have any slick sales pitches or anything. We just talk to people, tell them what we have, and try to get things moved from one place to another. The air conditioning in the office is a bit loud but we need it with the heat outside. We usually have lunch together at the small desks or go down to the street to grab something quick. It’s a lot of checking lists and making sure the boxes are labeled correctly. Sometimes a shipment gets delayed and we have to spend the whole day on the phone trying to find out where it went. It’s just regular office life with its own set of headaches and small wins. We like the neighborhood though, even if it is a bit hectic on Mondays and Tuesdays.
