Petco

You can find us at Shop No 1104 in the Nilanjana building. We are located in Malad West, right near Nutan School, so we get a lot of kids stopping by after their classes are over. Petco isn’t one of those massive pet stores you see in malls. It’s more of a local spot where we know the names of the dogs that live on this block. The shop is filled with bags of food and toys piled up on the shelves. Sometimes it gets a bit crowded when we get a big shipment in. We spend the day helping people pick out the right leash or just chatting about their cats. Mumbai can be so loud and busy, but inside here it feels a bit different. It’s mostly just us and the sound of the fan overhead. We don't have a fancy website or a big marketing team. It’s just a small shop where we try to keep everything tidy, though there is always some dust or a stray bit of birdseed on the floor. Working near Marve means it can get pretty humid, so we keep the door open for a breeze. We have been here for a while and seen the neighborhood change quite a bit. It’s a good place to be, and we enjoy seeing the regulars come in every week for their supplies. Dealing with animals and their owners is a decent way to spend the day.
