Pee Vee India Pvt. Ltd. is located up on the fifth floor of Laxmi Mall in the Laxmi Industrial Estate. If you know Andheri West, you know how the New Link Road can get during rush hour. It's a lot of noise and cars, but once you get inside the mall and up to suite 506, it gets a bit quieter. We’ve been operating out of this unit for some time now. The office is filled with files and samples of the stuff we trade. It isn't one of those modern glass offices you see in movies; it's a real working space with wooden desks and chairs that have seen better days. We spend a lot of time on the phone talking to vendors and checking on shipping schedules. Sometimes the elevators in the building take forever, so we end up taking the stairs if we’re in a hurry. Our team is small, just a handful of people who know the business inside out. We don't spend much on decorating the place because we’re too busy keeping track of the inventory. We have a big window that looks out over the industrial estate, which is mostly just rooftops and more traffic. We just show up every morning, drink our chai, and get to work on the orders. It’s a steady pace and we like it that way, just handling the day-to-day tasks.
