If you look for us in Mumbai, we’re on the 5th floor of Paville House. It’s situated off Veer Savarkar Marg in Prabhadevi. Being on the 5th floor means we get a bit of a breeze sometimes, which is nice because the Mumbai heat can be quite a lot. The building has that old Mumbai charm, which is a nice way of saying the elevator is a bit slow and the walls could use a fresh coat of paint. We’ve been here at 400025 for a long time. From our windows, you can see the tops of other buildings and hear the constant hum of the traffic below on the main road. It’s a busy part of the city, so there’s always a lot of energy. Our office is full of fabric swatches and half-finished sketches pinned to the walls. It’s not a place where everything is perfectly in its place. There are stacks of folders on the floor and chairs that don't match. We like it that way. It feels like a real place where work happens. Most of us take the train and then walk from the station, so by the time we get to the 5th floor, we’re ready for a sit-down and some chai. We’ve seen Prabhadevi change so much around us, with new towers going up, but our little corner in Paville House stays pretty much the same year after year.
