Parikh Overseas

Parikh Overseas is located in the Sarvodya Trust Building. We have a room there. It’s in Dadar West, very close to the Portuguese Church. You can hear the church bells sometimes if the window is open and the traffic isn't too loud. The building is one of those older ones with thick walls and a bit of a damp smell in the monsoon season. We don't have a big storefront on the street. You have to come into the building and find our room. It’s more of an office setup than a regular retail shop. We handle things related to overseas business, lots of papers and phone calls. It’s usually just two or three of us here during the day. The desks are covered in folders and old ledgers. We’ve been in Dadar for a long time. It’s a central spot, so it’s easy for people to reach us, even if finding the specific room takes a minute. The lift in the building is a bit temperamental, so we usually just take the stairs instead. It’s good exercise, I guess. We aren't trying to be some big corporate firm. We just do our work, talk to our contacts, and keep things moving. Most of our clients have been with us for years. They know how we work and they don't mind the old office or the fact that it's a bit hidden away. It’s just our space. We keep a kettle for tea and try to get through the paperwork before the day ends.
